Death by Chocolate Kahlua Brownies

Could there be a more decadent dessert? Within our family, the tongue-in-cheek name for these are “Better-than-Sex Brownies” ;) We only make them once a year, which is around the holidays, so we skimp on absolutely nothing!

Ingredients:

  • 2 boxes of brownie mix, cake-like
  • Kahlua
  • 2 containers of Cool Whip
  • 2 boxes chocolate mousse
  • 10 Heath bars or Twix, crushed into chunks

Directions:

1. Bake two boxes of cake-like brownies. Don’t overbake them otherwise you’ll get crispy parts.

2. Let the brownies cool. Perforate with a fork and cover with Kahlua.

3. Once the brownies have absorbed everything, cut into 1″ chunks and scoop out half and set aside. Spread the brownie mix left in the pan out evenly and press down gently to layer.

4. Spread half of the mousse on top of the brownies, making sure to squish it into nooks and crannies. On top of that, sprinkle half of the Heath crumbles. Then spread one container of Cool Whip on top.
