Yup that’s right, Amanda and I are about to head back to the motherland! Ok, so we’re both ABCs (American Born Chinese) so it’s not reeeaaally the motherland… but close enough. In the next three weeks, we’ll be blitzing through Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and a handful of cities in between. Hopefully we’ll get a good sampling of the local cuisine and you can be pretty darn sure that we’ll have pictures of whatever munchies we get our paws on.

One of the perks of being part of the online foodie community is getting to try new food products for free! A while back we won a Butter Bell Crock from the Foodie Blogroll, which I have yet to load up with butter and begin using. This crock stores butter at room temperature and if you replace the water every 3 days, you’ve got spreadable butter that keeps fresh for days.

Rob and I have been working like busy bees to design a fresh new look for our site. We’ve found this great WordPress theme, Atahualpa (Thanks to Kevin for pointing this one out to us! – Rob), that takes all the pain out of html/css/browser incompatibilities – score!
