Last week we celebrated our 5th year Anniversary…of dating, people, not marriage ;) Now, we’re both huge Mario Batali fans and we’ve been wanting to come to Babbo ever since we landed in NYC. Babbo was one of his earliest restaurants in NYC and opened in 1998. Located in Greenwich Village, it’s a little cozy (read: small). Reservations have to be made 1 month in advance! Rob snagged a 5:30pm dinner res and ordered the $75 Traditional Tasting menu. This consisted of several dishes:

Just wanted to wish everyone an enjoyable and safe holiday!  So in this post, I’m debuting my brand new Canon EOS Digital XSi.  It was a little Christmas present from me… to me.  I’m still messing around with different angles, lighting, zoom, and focuses.  In short, I have no idea what I’m doing  This post also features a guest “chef”, my sister Jenny.  She wanted to share a pasta dish that she came up with recently.  As you can see from the pictures, it’s a big ol’ melting pot of… stuff.  I won’t even try to describe the ingredients that went into this.  Suffice it to say that everything that my sister likes is

Maggiano’s

Last weekend, our friends and I went back home to go to the D.C. Cherry Blossom Festival.  The weather was perfect – sunny, breezy (understatement), high 60s – and we had a blast ambling about the city, taking pictures with the sakura trees.  To cap off our adventure, we went to Robo’s and my most favorite italian restaurant ever – Maggiano’s in Chevy Chase, MD.  We ate family style,  all 9 of us!, and feasted on delicious pastas, seafood, and desserts until we waddled happily
